Solana Warranty

3 YEAR structural warranty	Watkins Manufacturing Corporation warrants the Solana^™ spa shell not to leak for a period of three years from the spa's purchase date.
1 YEAR surface warranty	Watkins Manufacturing Corporation warrants the Solana spa shell surface finish not to peel, blister, or delaminate for a period of one year from the spa's purchase date. Incidental scratches or scuffs to the shell and surface finish are not covered under this warranty as they can occur under normal use conditions.
1 YEAR component warranty	Watkins Manufacturing Corporation warrants the electrical components, pump, and other Solana spa components against malfunction, leaking or defects in material or workmanship for a period of one year from the spa's purchase date. The filter cartridge, light bulb, filter cover, pillow, and cover locks are not included in this warranty, but are warranted to be free from defects in materials or workmanship at the time of delivery to the original consumer purchaser. (Spa covers, FreshWater^® ozone purification systems, jet replacement kits and other spa accessories are specifically excluded from this warranty although they may be covered by other warranties. Please check with your Solana Dealer for details.)
1 YEAR no leak warranty	Watkins Manufacturing Corporation warrants the Solana spa plumbing not to leak for a period of one year from its purchase date. This warranty specifically covers leaks from the wall fittings, jet fittings, internal plumbing, internal glue joints, glue or pipe connections within the equipment area and all other bonded parts including the filter compartment and light lens.
1 YEAR no-fault^® heater warranty	Watkins Manufacturing Corporation unconditionally warrants the No-Fault heater against any failure that would require replacement. This warranty's duration is equal to the time period identified in the Component Warranty above. The warranty defines unconditional as warranty coverage without exception provided that the component has failed to operate properly within the spa's system. This means that conditions that would normally invalidate the limited warranty, such as water chemistry damage, do not apply to the No-Fault 1000 heater.
1 YEAR endurol^® siding warranty	Watkins Manufacturing Corporation warrants the exterior Endurol siding to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for a period of one year from the spa's purchase date.

extent of warranty	This warranty extends only to the original consumer purchaser of the Solana spa when purchased and originally installed within the boundaries of the United States and Canada. The Solana spa warranty terminates upon any transfer of ownership or if the spa is installed or relocated outside the boundaries of the United States and Canada by the original consumer purchaser prior to the expiration of the warranty period.
warranty performance	In the event of any malfunction or defect covered under the terms of this limited warranty; (a) Contact the Factory Authorized Service Agent (selling dealer) who sold you the spa. There will be no charge for the parts or labor to repair the Solana spa or its components. In some cases, reasonable repair person travel charges may be assessed (by the servicing agent) if you live beyond the normal servicing area of the Factory Authorized Service Agent. The original consumer purchaser is responsible for freight or transporation costs if any defective components are required to be returned to the Factory Authorized Service Agent for repair or replacement. or (b) Contact Watkins Manufacturing Corporation for repair or replacement of the defective component(s). There will be no charge for the parts or labor to repair the Solana spa or its components. Any applicable freight charges for the return of the components to Watkins Manufacturing Corporation are the responsibility of the original consumer purchaser.
In the event Watkins Manufacturing Corporation requests or the original consumer purchaser chooses to return any defective component(s) to Watkins Manufacturing Corporation for repair or replacement, the consumer purchaser should ship the defective component(s), along with a completed copy of the Warranty Return Form provided with the Owner's Manual and a copy of the original consumer purchase receipt to: Solana/Watkins Manufacturing Corporation 1280 Park Center Drive, Vista, CA 92083 Please use the United Parcel Service (UPS) ONLY for electrical or mechanical components. Watkins Manufacturing Corporation will return ship the component(s) via UPS ground, freight prepaid, to the consumer purchaser. In the event the consumer purchaser is unable to either obtain service or obtain satisfactory service from a Factory Authorized Service Agent, notify the Service Department of Watkins Manufacturing Corporation. Written notice of any malfunction or defect must be given within ten (10) days of the time the malfunction is discovered, and must be accompanied by the original consumer purchase receipt of the spa which shows the date of purchase. Notice must be given to Watkins Manufacturing Corporation, 1280 Park Center Drive, Attn: Customer Service Manager, Vista, California 92083. Watkins Manufacturing Corporation reserves the right to inspect the malfunction or defect on location or request the return of the component(s) for repair or replacement.
acts invalidating warranty	This warranty is void if this Solana spa has been improperly installed,subjected to alteration,misuse or abuse,or if any repairs on the spa are attempted by anyone other than an authorized representative of Watkins Manufacturing Corporation. Alteration shall include any component or plumbing change,electrical conversion, or the addition of any non-approved* sanitation or water purification device or heating system which contributes to a component or unit failure or unsafe operating system. Misuse and abuse shall include any operation of the spa other than in accordance with Watkins Manufacturing Corporation's printed instructions, or use of the spa in an application for which it is not designed. Specifically: use of the spa in a non-residential application; damage caused by operation of the spa outside the specified voltage requirements (115v ± 10%) or operation of the spa at water temperatures outside the range of 32°F and 120°F; damage caused by voltage spikes or "brown-out" conditions; damage caused by a dirty, clogged or calcified filter cartridge (see Spa Care and Maintenance instructions in the Owner's Manual); damage to the spa surface caused by the use of tri-chloro chlorine, chemical tablets in a floater, acid, or any other spa sanitizing chemicals or spa surface cleaners which are not recommended by Watkins Manufacturing Corporation; damage caused by allowing undissolved spa sanitizing chemicals to lie on the spa surface (no spa surface material can withstand this kind of abuse); damage to components (excluding the No-Fault heater) or spa surface caused by improper pH balance or other improper water chemistry maintenance; and damage to the spa surface caused by leaving the spa uncovered while empty of water and in direct exposure to sunlight (this may cause solar heating distress) are considered abuses and shall invalidate this warranty. The filter lid on the spa is not designed to support heavy weight loads and should not be used as a seat. In extreme cases the lid could crack and break. This occurrence is considered abuse and is not covered under this warranty.
disclaimers	Watkins Manufacturing Corporation shall not be liable for loss of use of the Solana spa or other incidental, consequential, special, indirect, or punitive costs, expenses or damages, which may include but are not limited to the removal of a permanent deck or other custom fixture or the necessity for crane removal. Any implied warranty shall have a duration equal to the duration of the applicable warranty stated above. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts. Under no circumstances shall Watkins Manufaturing Corporation or any of its representatives be held liable for injury to any person or damage to any property, however arising. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
legal remedies	This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from state to state.
